Those not enrolled in a Qualified Plan will be able to purchase health insurance through government-run exchanges, also known as Health Insurance Marketplaces. Premium Assistance Credits will be available to lower-income individuals and their dependents only when insurance is purchased through the Health Insurance Marketplace.

You are not eligible for the Premium Assistance Credit if you are eligible for other qualifying coverage, such as Medicare, Medicaid, CHIP, TRICARE, Veterans health care, health coverage plan available to Peace Corps volunteers, or affordable employer-sponsored coverage.
